Boxing Gloves

I haven’t been blogging much this past weekend, and I apologize for that.  I pulled a muscle in my lower back and sitting at the computer seems to aggravate it.  I wanted to start writing about the Paris collections, but I still have about two dozen shows to watch.  I’ll get around to it soon.

I did sit down long enough last night to check my email and discover that Lisa Tant from Flare Magazine replied to a letter I wrote.  I didn’t expect her to write to me since I didn’t even address the letter to her specifically; I was just asking a general editorial question.

Now I wonder if Lisa is reaching out to me.  It’s no secret that Ceri Marsh and I are BFFs.  Perhaps Lisa is jealous — I know that Rita Silvan is!  She’s always sending me these annoying text messages from fashion shows she’s attending.  Who does she think I am?  A twelve-year-old girl?

Anyway, it’s sort of fun to have all these high-powered editor-in-chief types vying for my attention.  I know that my friendship is like a jewel in the crown of stylishness, so I can understand why people tend to get a little desperate when I reach out to them.  Coco and Christian were no different.  Why should Lisa be?

I just hope that things don’t get nasty between Lisa and Ceri.  I don’t want to see a catfight break out in the middle of Toronto Fashion Week.  If there’s something between these two women that needs to be resolved, we can approach it like mature, rational adults and settle it on the dance floor.
