Why not Emeraude?
Is it just me, or is the Pantone Institute Color of the Year for 2013 sort of boring?
After reading names such as “Tangerine Tango,” “Honeysuckle” and “Mimosa,” “Emerald” seems like a dull choice. I like the color, but the name just doesn’t have much flair. Why didn’t they call it “Emeraude” like the classic fragrance by Coty? “Emerald” just seems so literal to me. Oh well — it’s not as if I was going to run out to buy a whole new wardrobe just because someone told me that a color was fashionable. No one should ever do anything like that unless I tell them to do it.
While I’m doling out such valuable advice, I should point out that the ad above also features a few words of wisdom: “Want him to be more of a man? Try being more of a woman.” Wow — they don’t write ad copy like that any more!
